Leeloojamais erupted in Slovenian musical world in 2001 as a bright shinning star with a debut album 'Pod vplivom' ('Under influence') and it was obvious at that time, that we were looking at real stars, not just some mindless firefly. Ordinary and already seen musical expressions were not enough for Leeloojamais musicians – they wanted to go beyond that.

Being completely different from anything that the Slovene music scene had witnessed before, they were often misunderstood or ever overheard. But even though the unpredictable fusion of jazz, rock, pop and funk left some cold hearted, many music experts knew back then that Slovenia finally got a great main stream band.

Their second record 'Nextasy' was created and recorded in their home studio. It featured some interesting guests, such as the Slovene hip-hoper 6 Pack Cukur, the Dutch hip-hop artist Lord Lefty or the Dutch singer Sage.

The wonderful fusion of jazz, funk, hip-hop and r'n'b on the 'Nextasy' record finally convinced not only the critics and music colleagues, but also music listeners, who were absolutely thrilled about the modern and urban sound of the band. Leeloojamais once again proved, that they are not only one of the best Slovenian groups, but with any doubt the best Slovene progressive R'N'B group.
