Appeared in the eighties, the rock'n'roll band Van Gogh experienced a real breakthrough in the first half of the nineties, being an alternative to the popular brawny folk players' mentality. One of the secretes behind this success is that the band consist of nine strong individuals, who find it important how they sound collectively and not so much individually.
All together Van Gogh have recorded nine albums. Their latest record is the compilation Best of Van Gogh released in 2004.
