Vruja is a music ensemble not only keeping music traditions from the Slovene Istra alive but popularising them as well. The line up consists of experienced musicians, that is true pioneers of the Istrian ethno music revival and some younger musicians, which, however, have been growing up with the Istrian musical inheritance. Vruja’s music, which results from the music experience of its members and their successful cooperation, is considered to be representative of the so called folk music revival movement.
