Bulgara is a modern oriented band, which has taken Bulgarian music to another level and through a wholly new experience. By creating an emotional instrumental firework the seven artists have left every separation of musical traditions from innovative music genres, jazz or dance Cuban rhythms to the past. At home they are one of the hottest bands around. Thanks to them, Bulgarian youth isn’t just into partying at popular pop/ethno fusions but at jazz improvisations – in the rest of Europe they are largely considered to be reserved for the so called intellectual audience – as well.

Bulgara music is a hot fusion of expressive folk-jazz, funk-rock and drum & bass. Unlike most of other ethno oriented bands they don’t mind reaching for more than one national tradition at a time. Their music quite openly flirts with Turkish-Kurdish, Romanian and Greece music traditions.
