ALTHOUGH I LIVE INSIDE... MY HAIR WILL ALWAYS REACH TOWARDS THE SUN... (FRANCE)
Stage: Street theatre (AT THE OLD VINE)
Time: 05.07.2005 at 23.30
Performer: Sophiatou Kossoko
choreographer: Robyn Orlin
This performance is the result of a collaboration between a white woman living in Africa and a black woman living in Europe? Robyn Orlin, an iconoclastic choreographer from South Africa, breaks all the codes of contemporary dance. She puts everything into water, both the audience and the dancer Sophiatou Kossoko, whose wild breasts and marked eyelashes remind of Tina Turner, while her wig strike a chord of Angela Davis.
This show has been organised in co-operation with the City of Women festival.
