The piano trio-ensemble was formed under prof. Danica Koren’s mentorship in 2004. Its members are three very promising students of the Music School in Velenje, of whom each has won many prizes. Tonight’s first part of the concert features a violinist Lucija Mlakar.

BARBARA FANEDL was born in 1986 in Maribor and first started learning violin at the age of five under prof. Zvonka Pal. After she had completed primary school, she decided to pursue her musical career at the Music School in Maribor. In the course of her education she participated in various educational courses at home and abroad as well as at numerous international competitions both as a soloist and in a chamber ensemble. She wants to continue her musical education at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.

KRISTINA PECNIK was born in 1987 in Sarajevo and completed her first musical education in Slovenia under Magdalena Navodnik. So far, she has won several prizes at international competitions. She is studying music in Velenje and will pursue her musical career at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.

VALENTIN STANTE was born in 1986 in Slovenj Gradec and completed his education in violin in Velenje last year. In the course of his studies he took part in numerous courses both at home and abroad and used this knowledge when he was competing internationally, where he had many successes. He is also playing viola and would like to study it in greater detail abroad.
